Danner Desert TFX 8''
Danner TFX Desert 8" boot - Excellent boot. The boot has good arch support, I purchased these after research into a lightweight boot that provides good support. The boot has an excellent heel counter, that's hard to find, and where a lot of the support comes from. In my case, I have an ankle problem and these support it real well.Although the leather is rough side out, so far it seems not to get dirty. I'd have preferred a smooth outer surface however. They will get 'dingy' after use.

Great Walking Shoe - Danner makes a great shoe, especially for older men who are beginning to have foot problems. Superb support, cushioning. I'm 57 and walk about 15+ miles a week on sidewalk. These are far superior to the Birkenstock hikers I paid almost 3 times as much for.

Well Made - I have only owned these boots for two weeks now. I will say that they are extremely comfortable and look great. I am currently in Afghanistan and took these boots out for some fast rope training. After 10 ropes, I checked out the outsole and there is no damage. If only military boots would stand up to this kind of abuse. We went out on a mission and I was on my feet for an extended period of time and I had absolutely no pain in my feet, ankles, knees, hips, or back, so I am very impressed. I am completely flat footed, so I should know. Also, I feel about ten times more agile in these boots. Thanks Danner for making a great boot.

Danner Quarry 2.0 Alloy Toe
Comfortable (for a steel toe) - Go with the wide - Comfortable and well-made. I don't normally wear a wide, but I did with these (as I do with all steel toes) in order to get more room in the toes and the ball of my foot. I like the extra room since I wear them all day.
