Look better than they perform - I was coveting these boots a long time before I finally made the purchase. The boots are made of a very nice rubber and I like how they fit through the calf and the height is great. However, there is virtually no support in the foot or ankle and while walking on woodland paths, you can feel each stick under foot. Digging in the garden is definitely out. I didn't detect any arch support. I put a pair of cushioned support insoles in and they are much better - but frankly for this price I don't really think that should be necessary. All that aside - I kept them because they are darn cute, simply classic styling, and they are great for frogging and salamander hunting (I have 2 little boys and a pond).

The reviews helped - I read the reviews and bought one shoe size smaller than my foot. They fit great. I also bought a pair of wellie socks. The boots feel like they fit better with the socks.

LOVE these shoes!!!These are the best rain shoes I ever had... got them in black. They're very comfortable and look wonderful with jeans (really classy)! They run big though - I normally wear size 5 and felt that Hunter's 5 is more like a BIG 6... woolen socks or good thick shoe inlays necessary… but the way these rain shoes look on your feet - you will love rainy days!!!

Hunter Boots Are Awesome!This boot is a classic. They fit very well, are comfortable to walk in, and best of all, they don't slide off your heel! I can't wait to buy the socks for them next winter. No more polka dotted kiddie rain boots… thank God!
