Long before Thorlos were even an idea, the foundation was being put in place. In 1953, Lewis Thorneburg, driven by a philosophy that a worthwhile life is, "...to be the best at something," began fostering that same desire in his son, Jim. In 1970, Jim became determined to build the best worldwide sock brand ever. His idea was to, "...listen to customers in order to find their real needs," and then develop solutions to their problems.

Comfortable socks!Thick, comfy-omfy, long lasting, great feeling socks. Best sock of the market- as far as we are concerned! Excellent. Bit costly but they out last any other sock we’ve ever had.

Thorlos Combat Boot Over Calf 6-Pack
Combat Boot Soc is Mid Calf Not Over Calf- I wear a size 10 women's shoe. I am 5'7" tall and weigh about 130 pounds. Although I am thin, these socks will NOT pull up over my calf. They slip down to mid-calf and low-calf when I walk, and the socks are noticeably snug on my big toe. However, the socks are thick, which helps keep my feet warm in the snow. The women's sizes do not have room to spare for sturdy feet. I am buying men's sizes for my next set. I like the socks, but I need more room.

Awesome socks - Excellent padding. Wicking material makes a huge difference. Makes wearing combat boots daily much more comfortable. Well worth the investment.
